Deeply Philosophical
Jack had no desire to lose his skin. It would take a lot more than a bullet to take him down but he was not a fool. He had no desire to trigger Natasha's self defenses by interrupting her light sleep, which was the point of the text in the first place. But now that she was definitely awake he tapped on the door before entering her room, shutting it behind him.
He didn't bother asking if he could join her. He had slept under her bed plenty of times as a dog and he didn't hesitate to sit on the edge of it now.
"Is that a knife under your pillow or Mr. Stabby the Sleep Pal."

He gives a shallow grin and shrugs a little before glancing over to her. Sleep was never easy. For different reasons for him than her, but still, the had similar patterns. Short, light sleeps that were just enough to function on.
"Sleep is overrated, we should waste our time with other endeavors."

Sometimes, she wished she was able to sleep for those glorious 8 hours everyone treasured. The only time she got sleep like that is if she's forced to while in the hospital or she's sedated, and even then it's a touch and go.
She wrestles a few curls of hair from her face to tug behind her ear, then wraps her arms around her legs as she brings them to her chest. "And what did you have in mind?"

It wasn't sarcasm. His only ideas had to do with the people he had encountered up until then. But he wasn't the best at non violent methods of multi-person amusement.
"We could play fetch but that might get awkward."

She's silent, thinking. She really doesn't have time for hobbies because she's usually always working. She didn't cultivate any growing up either, because hobbies weren't allowed. You did your job and then there was the next mission.
"I'm probably not the best person to ask that. I work all the time.' Well, not recently, and frankly, she's bored. "But, I know that people read, they go out with their friends, talk about things. "

He moves and drops down sideways onto her bed without asking, spread out on his back with his feet on the floor. Boredom has been such a constant companion for him, and it reminds him that even if it's bigger he's still just locked in a box.
They gave him some more space and some people to observe but he's still not human and it becomes glaringly obvious whenever the people aren't around for him to put on a show for.
"I've read every book here." And friends well. He could, but that was Jack. Those were Jack's friends.
